The Install

From box to installed in about thirty minutes.

Four steps. No mains wiring for eligible battery-powered locations. Here's what installing your kit looks like.

  1. 01
    2 minutes

    Unbox your kit

Everything arrives in one box: your alarms (already paired), mounting brackets, screws, the bonus remote, and AS 3786:2014 product documentation.

Each alarm arrives factory-sealed with a 10-year lithium battery already installed. There’s nothing to charge, connect, or configure before you start.

  2. 02
    30 seconds

    Test the pairing

Bundle packs ship pre-paired, so you can skip straight to verification. Press the test button on any alarm — every other alarm in the bundle should sound within a few seconds.

If you ever need to re-pair (after replacing one), the alarms link via dedicated radio frequency in about thirty seconds on a kitchen table. No roof access, no wiring, no app.

  3. 03
    20 minutes

    Mount on the ceiling

Position alarms in every bedroom, in bedroom hallways or zones, and on storeys with no bedrooms in the likely exit path. Screw the mounting bracket to the ceiling, then twist the alarm onto the bracket.

You need a screwdriver and a step ladder. That’s it. Each alarm takes about three to five minutes to mount. A four-alarm home is typically done in twenty minutes.

  4. 04
    1 minute

    Test and you’re done

Press the test button on any alarm — or use the bonus remote. If every alarm in the kit sounds, the interconnected group is working. Keep the product documentation somewhere safe with your household records.

We recommend testing and cleaning your alarms according to the manufacturer's instructions. The sealed battery is designed for ten years of operation.

One Saturday morning. Done for ten years.

That's the trade-off. A few minutes of your weekend instead of a four-week wait, a four-figure quote, and a sparky in your roof.
